Our firm has represented surety companies on a wide variety of issues particularly with regards to performance and payment bonds for construction projects. We have participated in and performed investigations of claims made against surety bonds. We have advised surety companies as to the handling of such claims including the negotiation of takeover arrangements and other methods of resolving performance defaults. We have represented sureties where they have been sued by claimants, where they have sued seeking subrogation and salvage, and in other types of civil actions. In addition, our firm represents general contractors, subcontractors and homeowners in all aspects of construction litigation, including contract negotiation and performance, warranty issues, mechanics and materialman's liens, and claims and dispute resolution.
